About

Mathilde Chabot-Martin is a Master's student at the School of Social Work at Université du Québec à Montréal. Her thesis employs a care ethics lens and a feminist perspective to examine the lived experiences of relatives of incarcerated people. Additionally, she works as a research assistant on several projects related to incarceration and the penal system, focusing particularly on issues such as death in prison, women’s prisons, peer work within the penal system, and the costs of telephone use for prisoners and their relatives. She has been a member of the PTP since September 2023.
